Rockpool Ramble

What a wonderful part of the world our school is located in! On Tuesday, February 4th, our class discovered and explored the Merri marine sanctuary during our ‘Rockpool Ramble’. Our excursion compliments our science program as the children were able to connect what they are learning in the science lab to their local community. Students, teachers, Deakin university students and parents pulled on their school ‘aqua shoes’ to climb rocks and make observations. Amongst the most glorious setting we were lucky enough to observe an octopus in its natural environment close up as well as an eel, cone shells, starfish, crabs, fish amongst the rockpools and caves. We were blessed with perfect weather and it was a marvellous way to start the day! We, 5/6N, appreciate the work Mrs Frankel did to arrange our excursion and the we are extrememly happy we get to study science!

I think you get it.
